Avon Road Community...

Jay, Gill, Lynsey, Ellie, Tracy, Scott and Merrick all took a morning out of their busy schedules to give a helping hand at Avon Road Community Allotment in Chelmsford.

Lots to get stuck in to at the allotment from turning the compost, weeding, cutting the communal grass areas, and digging the beds over in readiness for planting seeds. The team gave their best efforts and came away knowing they made a positive impact.   

The charity art rural training (ART) run the community allotment and are an educational charity providing practical and skills training alongside therapeutic support and mentoring to the residents of Essex and surrounding areas. You can find out some more information here - abbertonruraltraining.org 

This brings our community hours to 39 hours for 2024 so far.
