Volunteering at Avon...

Stacy, Gill, Lynsey, Ellie, Bethany, Bradley and Lisa all took a morning out of their busy week to popped down to Avon Road Community Allotments in Chelmsford at the start of October to give a helping hand.

Weather was wet and chilly (although that didnt stop Bethany wearing shorts!), the team got stuck straight in and helped harvest the veggies grown (tomatoes and courgettes a-plenty) along with mending, building and filling up more planters. 

The chairty art rural training (ART) is an educational charity providing practical and skills training alongside therapeutic support and mentoring to the residents of Essex and surrounding areas. You can find out some more information here - abbertonruraltraining.org 

This brings our community hours to just over 89 hours for 2023 so far.
